Desert, Dunes and Coast in the East Cape

This private Cabo ATV Tour takes you into the backcountry of Baja California Sur. You cross the East Cape desert on dirt trails, past giant cactus and over sand dunes. From the hilltop at Punta Gorda you see the Sea of Cortez. Along the way you pass Zacatitos and a local donkey community. We run this tour ourselves: our bilingual guide takes only your group, from your hotel, at the time you choose. Lunch is tacos at a local taqueria in downtown San Jose del Cabo.

Cabo San Lucas departures: 8:00 AM · 9:30 AM · 11:00 AM · 2:00 PM · 3:30 PM. San Jose del Cabo departures: 8:30 AM · 10:00 AM · 11:30 AM · 2:30 PM · 4:00 PM. The ATV ride lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
Minimum age: 16 years old. No prior ATV experience required. A valid credit card must be presented on the day of the activity. Guides reserve the right to deny participation if a safety risk is identified.
We pick up anywhere in Los Cabos: Cabo San Lucas, the Tourist Corridor and San Jose del Cabo. Outside these areas, ask us first. An extra $10 USD per person may apply.
For your safety, pregnant women cannot join this tour under any circumstances. We also can’t take guests with heart, back or neck problems, respiratory conditions, motor disabilities, limited mobility or visual impairments. The same applies to vertigo, fear of heights, osteoporosis, or a body temperature above 99.5°F / 37.5°C before pickup.
Yes. Every rider gets a helmet and a safety briefing before the ride starts.
Pack light: comfy shoes, light clothes, sunglasses and a hat. Skip the heavy backpack and keep it simple. Bring some cash for tips and souvenirs. If you have any health issues, tell us when you book. Eat a good breakfast so you have energy for the ride. The route gets dusty, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
The tour runs in most weather. If a strong storm puts your safety at risk, we move your tour to the next day. If you can’t make the new date, we refund your payment.
Yes. Accident insurance for every rider is included in your price. It does not cover damage to the ATV. ATV damage insurance costs $25 USD extra, paid when you arrive at the park.
